God has blessed us abundantly over the years through the Friends of Skogheim and various guests passing through our doors as they generously donate to the development and maintenance of Skogheim. During 2015 we have been able make a few upgrades - some seen and some under the ground, such as the improvement on the sewerage system.
Changes that are visible include the Viking, which now has a kitchen area for groups between 20 and 50 people who prefer to do self catering. The kitchen is basic, but functional and has been well received. Thank you to all who gave us advice to make the improvements. We have built an outdoor braai and seating area on the patio of the Viking which has already been enjoyed by a number of groups. Our office and entrance area received a new coat of paint. There were a few days of moving computers and filing cabinets; trying to find the phone under the plastic sheeting. It was great fun choosing colours and getting it done, a blue tone, with darker blue between the wooden slats.
Siloam, our DGA student sat on a blanket, moving around the office and entrance area, painstakingly getting the work done. Our computer system also received a much needed upgrade from 2003 packages. What a blessing! Thank you to all our faithful donors and prayer supporters. You encourage us with your generosity and personal involvement in creating a home away from home for people to meet with the Lord.
